The demo begins by showing how Atmirage allows you to create a macro, the first step of any automated test. This macro is configured by recording the actions you want to automate. In our example, we automate a cash dispensing operation on an ATM. From inserting the card to withdrawing the receipt, Atmirage records each step and turns it into a sequence that can be automatically repeated.
An interesting feature of Atmirage is its ability to include checkpoints and validations during automated execution. For example, it validates specific texts on the ATM screen using OCR (optical character recognition), ensuring that each step is performed correctly.
Another valuable aspect of Atmirage is the ability to use variables within macros. Instead of always requesting a fixed amount, such as 30 euros, you can configure the macro to use a variable value, such as 10, 20, or 50 euros. This is especially useful for testing different scenarios without having to create multiple macros.
Centralized Test Management
Atmirage Testing Center (ATC) is the module where all automated tests are managed. You can create test cases, assign different priorities, and run tests in different environments, whether on a single virtual ATM or dispatching them against several virtual ATMs at a time. The results are displayed in real time and can be exported for detailed analysis.
